My Libra Season Go Tos

Libra season is officially here, which means two things: (1) spooky season has entered the chat, and (2) my entire personality is about to revolve around cozy drinks, layered outfits, and pretending I’m in a Hallmark movie filmed in rural Maine.
If you’ve ever lived in Maine, you know exactly what I mean when I say we get about 2–3 glorious weeks of pure autumn bliss before Mother Nature says, “Hope you enjoyed it, sweetie, because now it’s time for frostbite.” Those weeks? They’re golden. They’re cozy mornings with warm apple cider, yoga that actually feels doable, and that crisp-but-not-freezing air that makes you feel like the main character in a coming-of-age indie film.

Maine Weather: The Ultimate Outfit Saboteur
Let’s talk about the climate here for a second. The mornings start out crisp and borderline bitter (hello, breath fog), then the day warms up into something that tricks you into thinking it’s still late summer. And just when you’re finally comfy? BAM. Around 4:45–5:30 p.m., the sea breeze rolls in, the sun dips behind the trees, and you’re suddenly questioning why you didn’t pack a parka.
Translation: Maine weather is basically a runway challenge where you’re forced to serve three looks in one day—or freeze trying. Enter: the art of layering.

Outfit 1: Business Sex
See-through blouse (scandalous but tasteful, like a corporate dominatrix)
Scallop shell handmade earrings (yes, I made them, yes, they’re fabulous)
Messenger bag (big enough for a laptop, small enough to not scream “tax season”)
Grey tie-waist jeans (because belts are for people who have their lives together)
Katy Perry collection white snakeskin pumps (because if my feet are cold, at least they’re iconic)
This is the outfit that says, “Yes, I’m professional, but also yes, I could steal your man and your promotion in one swift move.”

Outfit 2: Hidden Pearl
Leather coat (instantly makes you look like you know things)
Grey sweater tee with pearl trim (subtle flex, very “quiet luxury”)
Blue parachute jeans (comfort, but make it editorial)
Black shove-all bag (Mary Poppins vibes but chic)
Pearl studs (minimalist, but still whispering, “I have taste.”)
White Adidas tennis shoes (practicality has entered the group chat)
This is the “I’m running errands, but if Vogue snaps my pic for street style, I won’t be mad” look.

Outfit 3: Casual Chic
White bodysuit (structured enough to make me look put-together, stretchy enough to survive brunch)
Grey baggy wide-leg jeans (Maine weather-approved)
Brown messenger bag (because I clearly have a messenger bag addiction at this point)
Silver mules (yes, they hurt, but pain is temporary, Instagram is forever)
Silver wrist accessory (just enough shine to distract from the fact that my hair is in a messy bun)
This one screams, “I’m approachable, but also don’t get it twisted—I will ghost you if your vibe is off.”
Final Thoughts: Libra Season Glow-Up
There’s something about Libra season that makes me feel like a reset button just got pressed. It’s equal parts spooky season excitement and “let’s get my wardrobe, house, and mental health together before winter turns me into a hermit.”
Maine only gives me a few weeks of pure autumnal bliss, so you better believe I’m milking every single cozy moment. Warm cider in hand, layered outfit on point, and the confidence of knowing my pumps are impractical but perfect—that’s Libra season energy.
