Photography project update

Now that the fall semester is over it’s time to get thinking about final presentation and beginning introductions into the work life outside out undergraduate opportunities. It’s time for a remodel of the brand and also a beginning start of what I aspire to do.

Over the fall semester I developed a more clear purpose of my continued project in which I focus on the how one can use art creation as a form of therapy/ coping mechanisms and achieve great potential and growth of self discovery and self awareness. When I presented my project to the art department heads and staff, the reaction was positive which felt amazing.

Now that it’s winter break I have till January 19th to get as much as I can done and set up for the spring semester. My main objective at the end of the semester on top of having a printed photography book, is to have a fully functional online portfolio and a decent online presence that showcases my talents and will help me gain the connections I aspire.

My plans for work creation are ambitious but that’s what I love about a creative outlet it allows me to push my boundaries as an artist. In terms of applying the project to a communication in new media major perspective, through the curation of images I’m also to convey a certain message/ apply a brand image to a creative style.

Going back to the portfolio, I want to include the following

• portraits

• Landscapes / cityscapes

• Pet photography

• Graphic design

  • Internship work

    • Include a quick description of what you did and how

  • Posters for patty bourree

    • Advertising materials

      • After effects

  • Past assignments from photoshop class ( only the good ones )

• After Effects

  • Class assignments (only the good ones )
