My Digital Tools & Workspace Setup: How I Keep Myself Organized

The romanticized idea of the “messy creative” might look good in movies, but in reality, chaos equals stress. My brain works best when my environment — digital and physical — is set up to support me. That’s why I’ve built systems that balance structure with flow.
Digitally, I keep everything streamlined.
GoodNotes 6 is where I store projects, notes, sketches, and client planning. I treat it like a digital bullet journal.
Google Drive is my file hub. Everything gets color-coded into folders so I never waste time hunting. I even label shared folders with emojis to visually separate them.
Trello/Asana (or even just Notes): For project management, I like having a birds-eye view of deadlines and tasks.
Physically, my workspace has become an extension of my creativity. A lush plant or two grounds me. A second monitor keeps my projects moving. I keep a notebook nearby for spontaneous ideas that flow better with pen than keyboard. Lighting matters too — warm tones keep me focused without feeling sterile.
The truth is, creativity doesn’t mean giving up structure. In fact, the more organized I am, the more space I have for flow. When my tools and environment are set up, I’m not wasting energy hunting for files or stressing about clutter.
Action tip: Audit your setup. Is your digital space cluttered with random files? Is your desk covered in things you never use? Cut the noise. Build a system once, and then let it support you daily.
