Welcome to this weeks mini challenge of coming up with an explanation behind this weeks shoot.
Denim on denim on top of more denim is what we have for this shoot. I wanted to recreate Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears iconic look of the Canadian tuxedo. The outfit is know to be one of the most "out-there" choices but it got people talking. I decided to hot glue a bunch of cut up jeans from South Portland Maine Goodwill. I wanted to blend in while still standing out as a statement behind the Celebrity culture that society has adopted as essential. But yet we don't talk about how the in the spotlight life affects the celebrity.
The vertical lines created by the denim pants are almost like the bars of oppression and silence of their own personal feelings. Not until recent documentary's such as New York Times Presents: Framing Britney, Youtube Original "The Real Story of Paris Hilton", Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil and her Simply Complicated youtube documentary
Heres what I have so far from a shoot I did in my room and I think I'm going to redo the shoot but out in the hall where I would have more space to create a composition.
